First of all, Happy New Year to everyone, hope we all have a happy & healthy new year. Just a quick visit to say over Christmas i had my latest review, foot check and my first Retinopathy eye test. Thankfully passed all with flying colours so i'm just to continue on my diet & exercise only regime.
Also on a waiting list for an educational course recommended by my GP & DSN which i will definitely attend, the more knowledge the better although i suspect it will be just using the government guideline sheets. I've found more benefit from looking and learning on this forum to be honest but it can't harm.
Anyway, back to work, although i don't contribute as regularly i do lurk in the background checking the forum out.

Love & best wishes to all
Ian Billy

Good to hear from you @ianbilly, and a Happy New Year to you! 🙂 It sounds as though you have got things off to a great start, well done! 🙂

Great to hear you're still in the land of the living Ian Billy and a Happy New Year to you too ~ I was only thinking of you before Christmas & wondered how you were doing and if you still enjoy eating crispy seaweed! Good to hear your recent tests went well too.

Take care and do please keep visiting us from time to time to update your progress etc.
All the best for 2018.

Thank you ianbilly. After 16months of determination & tenacity I brought my HbA1c down to 32... non diabetic range in 2017 ~ not so sure it will remain in the 30's by my next review as I sort of relaxed my diet from time to time since 🙄 tho not going overboard! Surprisingly my numbers were good over Christmas and New Year! :D
Good to hear you're to attend a Diabetes Education Programme ~ I think you'll find the programme interesting particularly now that you have a better understanding of your diabetes from what you have learned from this forum ~ and of course you will meet other people who unfortunately have the same condition. Good luck.
