Welcome

Welcome to the forum, glad you found us 🙂. Have you been diagnosed long?

Hi bulsara and welcome 🙂
Youve been diagnosed quite awhile.
How are things going for you? Are you pretty good at maintaining good bgs?

Hello and welcome from a fellow T2.

Hi bulsara and welcome 🙂
Youve been diagnosed quite awhile.
How are things going for you? Are you pretty good at maintaining good bgs?
I don't test my bloods anymore as free testing strips not given anymore.I can't loose weight as find it difficult to eat good foods all the time. The only things in my favour is I do'nt smoke or drink.

It's difficult having to fund your own test strips. Unfortunately for most of us with type 2's that's how it is.
If you can afford it the SD Codefree is the cheapest meter/strips around and even if you just use it occasionally it can help guide you. However you probably know what you should be aiming to eat. I agree it's not always easy to make the right choices but has to be worth persevering as the complications are frightening.
Hopefully by reading as much as you can on this forum you'll get motivated. 🙂

hi, bulsara. I'm a newbie, but also I don't smoke or drink and I reckon that bought me an extra decade from the Diabetes. We live in a smallish village, so I can identify with not finding good food locally. But anytime I'm going into Glasgow (about an hour & 20 min on the train) I get the good stuff, food shopping.

Hello. 🙂
