Relationship to Diabetes

You may have wondered why I haven't been around for a while, well I have been unwell for about 5 months with bad abdominal pains and other symptoms. The Doctor suspected either Crohns or Diverticular Disease.

I went into hospital on Tuesday for a Colonoscopy and during the precedure they found lots of polyps, so they performed a polypectomy to remove them.

The result of the Colonoscopy is that I don't have Crohns which is good but I have Diverticular Disease.

The polyps have been sent with other biopsies for investigation as the polyps can sometimes be cancerous. I'm a bit apprehensive waiting for the results but hopefully they will turn out to be benign.

I was diagnosed with Diverticular Disease around 2 months ago following a colonoscopy, and during my investigation they took samples for a biopsy (relieved it came back ok) so I fully understand how you are feeling about the wait and good luck with the results, please keep us informed... xx
