Hi all,
Hope you were sitting down when you saw my username! I am SO sorry to have been MIA for so long. I was super busy for a few months and unfortunately some stuff had to give. But life has settled down again and I have TIME! For a while there I thought I was gonna spend the rest of my life rushed off my feet.
The Big Day took place on 15th June, in the pouring rain, and other than the weather everything was perfect. To say it was the happiest day of my life is a major understatement, it was utterly brilliant. You can see some photos here
The honeymoon in San Francisco, Vegas and LA was unbelievable. We were busy seeing stuff the entire time so we were exhausted when we got home but we had an absolute blast.
On the diabetes front, I'm afraid it was one of the priorities which was dropped in the run-up to the wedding. I was surprised at how well it was going until the day itself, when it pretty much fell apart and continued in the same vain throughout the honeymoon. But I didn't let it ruin my fun - I had a couple of hairy moments but other than that I refused to waste too much time and energy on it. I figured I'm never getting married or going on honeymoon again so 3 weeks of poor control in exchange for fun wasn't gonna kill me.
But it's back to reality now and I really need to get back on the wagon. I'm currently waiting on my body figuring out which way is up and once I've settled down the blood-sugar bashing will begin in earnest. Expect lots of cries for help over the next few months.
I hope everyone is healthy and happy. I'm so glad to be back and can't wait to catch up with you guys! I shall go browse some posts right now.
