I'm already nervous about tomorrow's eye operation and general anaesthetic. I've taken the day off work so that I can eat something reasonable at 1pm and then fast until tomorrow morning's operation. Going to be fun trying to keep the BGs stable until I'm back in recovery. I'm very nervous🙄

Good luck and I hope it all goes well 🙂

Take a few deep breaths 🙂 I will be thinking of you AJ, and you know you have the support and best wishes of everyone here to help you through. Hoping that all goes well and that it is a great success {{{{AJ}}}}

p.s. You are NOT a wimp - no way!!!!

HI AJ - a big hug being sent to you.
Try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know) but am sure everything will go fine and things will be much better for you🙂

Best of luck AJ hope all goes well for you hunny xxx

Its only natural to feel nervous about an operation - you wouldn't be human if you didn't.

Have you things that you can do this afternoon to distract you ?

Hope it all goes well.

We all feel nervous about this kind of thing. I'm sure it will all go well for you and you'll be back here in no time wondering why you worried!

I think anyone would feel the same in your position, good luck with it all.....:D

I can understand your being anxious - it's not a sign of being a wimp - anyone in their right senses would feel apprehensive.

All the very best and we look forward to hearing from you that all went well.

Best wishes LJ, I hope things go well for you..

You think you are a wimp, you have'nt met me, I get in a cold sweat just booking a dentist visit :D

Good luck for tomorrow.

Best of luck AJ. It's a big thing to go through, but they must do dozens a week, so routine for them 🙄

Keep yourself busy and you'll be fine 🙂

hi everyone thanks very much for all of your messages. They've made me cry (in a nice way) and made me smile. I had lunch at 1pm and won't eat again until after the operation because of the gastroparesis. My
Bg appears to have settled around the 6 level so I'm hoping that it will stay stable during the night......but lots of blood tests. I want it to be around 10 overnight so that I can stay nil by mouth and not run the risk of a hypo or hyper before or during the op

Hope you have good levels throughout AJ, and that you manage to get some sleep tonight. We will be thinking of you, and sending you positive vibes 🙂
