I'm a newbie here but not as far as T1D is concerned

Have you had a bad experience with pumping?

Having a pump has transformed my management and how I feel about my diabetes.
The ability to alter my basal insulin rate hour by hour through a day has enabled me to more closely match what I need through the day, which I found impossible with injections.

T1 is definitely a hassle and pumping is not for everyone, but it is well worth researching
yeah but its a hassle to carry around...don`t ya think ?

Why? it sits in pocket or clipped to a belt. Exactly the same as a mobile phone.

I don’t find that it is a hassle to carry my pump at all. It is attached to me so just gets tucked away in an appropriate place. I then carry around a test kit, as you would for MDI. My pump is more compact than my pens.

Have you tried a pump as yet? As I said it is not for everyone, but I don’t know many that have switched back once they have tried it.

I don't carry mine around. With a patch pump it is stuck to me and very discreet. Especially as I control it via an app on my phone

So less hassle day to day than carrying insulin pens around with needles and sharps container.
