As i am still new to this diabetes stuff, is there an idiots guide to diabetes as i don't want a novel size book telling what i can or can't do, just a simple one.

I would recommend getting Type 2 Diabetes: The First Year by Gretchen Becker 🙂 There's also Diabetes for Dummies, which is quite good for a general overview. Also, if you don't already have a copy, I'd recommend getting the free 100 things I wish I'd known about living with diabetes from Diabetes UK, containing lots of tips and words of wisdom from people with diabetes (including a few from our members!) 🙂

Although Gretchen's Book is novel size it is very readable and it is written in months of diagnosis.

If you join Diabetes UK their welcome pack includes a good introductory guide to diabetes. then their magazine has information & articles in easy doses
