Thoughts on ice cream? I've just turned a pot down. And I had the chance of rice putting.
*{looks for the food trolley, spoon ready}*

Looked like vanilla. Vanilla is boring. And I never really like Neapolitan, the chocolate is too strong for my tastes.

If you make your own ice cream, with eggs and cream made into a custard, and flavour it as you like, then it seems fine - the commercially made stuff is a froth of chemicals and sugar with some nasty processed oils. Try home made and you'll never want shop bought again.
Rice pudding is starch and sugar with no redeeming features. Best avoided.

Take a cup of natural yogurt add some cream, flavour as you wish and freeze, I did it last summer with just yoghurt and mashed in fresh raspberries delicious. But when out in a restaurant, I usually just go for vanilla ice cream, or cappuchino flavour or better still Affogato love that. Some Vanilla ice cream is delicious depends who makes it I guess.

Hospital ice cream is quite a cheap variety, I should imagine, so you probably didn’t miss anything.

I very much doubt either would taste great in hospital - on balance I'd have declined both I think. At home we like Carte d'Or vanilla cos it tastes properly of vanilla and has visible seeds in it, drool.

What's for tea tonight? No doubt another carb fest 🙄

Beef stew, mashed potatoes and carrots with almost some beef in it. I had ordered quiche and salad, except I lost that when I moved. Vanilla ice cream was on offer again.
Still a lot better than I've had before.

LOL at the almost beef Ralph! I take from that, it tasted OK then?

It has always baffled me as to why hospitals always seem to have a problem with the diets of diabetics. I have not experienced it first hand and seriously hope I never have too, what with being a non meat eater too, though from what Ralph says, the meat is nothing more than a hint! 🙂

Ahh the memories of hospital food.
