i would not go as far as to pay £20 for a bottle of Half used body lotion on e-bay eek you dont know anything about it or am i being a snob I know im privileged to have some from The perfume shop but i saved up hard to get it

I can't stand it, I like Prada infusions and a sadly discontinued one called Eau D'ivoire. I managed to get a bottle of it and I hoard it in my drawer and just have a quick squirt once in a blue moon!

Yeah, there's supposed to be lots of fakes out there, with g*d know what ingredients in them? Think there was a program a while back about a lady who had some skin reaction after using fake perfume, caused her all sorts of issues. So its not worth the risk IMHO. I have bought my wife several perfumes over the years and always go to "reputable" stores/suppliers. Cheers

Same here. I buy from a reputable shop. A bottle of lotion lasts ages. I can't wear it from around Easter to October during the day as bees are very sensitive to perfumes and lotions and it increases the chances of being stung.

You're not a snob at all Gail, I wouldn't care to use some lotion which someone I don't know had used!!! Especially at that price! I did once get some Kiku talc on ebay for a friend, not to use but just to remind her of our youth. Similarly she bought me some old Max Factor Sophisticat perfumes from ebay, not to use but as a "retro" present.
Personally I use body shop mango body butter on my feet and Sanctuary spa cream for the rest of me. I haven't bought any in years as they are a staple present from son and partner so I don't even know how much they cost!

just an update the same seller on ebay now has an empty bottle of No5 body lotion for sale for £9.00 Whats the point in buying an empty bottle? or am I being thick

Years ago I tried a splash of chanel no 5 but it smells awful on me. It is so important to try the perfume on your skin. I prefer Dior. Of course paying for a perfume that makes you feel good is a sensible idea. Of course you can get different strengths. I rarely wear perfume but do eau de toilette which is not as strong.

I am a Chanel girl like Gail. I usually wear the eau de toilette so it's no too overpowering. I have not so fond memories of guys drenching themselves in cologne at discos in my youth. Positively eye-watering.

Funny enough, I’ve never worn cologne or aftershave. I used to be gifted the stuff in my teens done a dab once on a night out, always felt it was trying just a little too hard?

The Scent Reserve do some very good fragrances (based on well known types - they are not fakes and are totally legal as are not marketed as being the real thing - they are mostly very similar though) - I got 4 100ml bottles for £30 (It was Black Friday though) - highly recommended
