I am on lithium medication for bipolar. I have to drink two pints , sometimes 3 , a day of water to keep my kidneys healthy . The problem is I simply cannot drink plain water . So I have to dilute it with blackcurrant or orange or summer fruits squash. Now I don't have strong , sickly squash but all the ones available these days tend to be double concentrate ones , why I don't know . Is drinking 2 or 3 pints of diluted blackcurrant squash going to ramp up my levels ? If it is can someone suggest a low sugar squash out there ?

Thank you

Can you post details of the particular product you currently use and perhaps we could advise if it is OK or not.

You really need to learn to read, understand and compare nutritional information data to find the lowest carb products in the range you like to mitigate your carb intake. Personally I don't buy squash but I do buy diet carbonated drinks. So things like diet cola and flavoured sparkling water. What I then do is have an inch or two of those in a glass of water to give it some flavour. I started out as half and half and gradually reduced it down to a minimum amount needed to make it pleasant to drink. If I am really thirsty, plain water is great but if I am not thirsty, I need something to tempt me to drink more so I understand that you need flavour to encourage you to drink more.

Edited to add.... I see you have now found an answer to your question.
