Hi Sweetsatin
I am sorry to hear that you have been feeling depressed but am glad that through this support network you are feeling a bit better. I am not Type 2 so cannot fully relate to your situation. However, having been diabetic for many decades, I can relate to hating the diabetes and feeling depressed. Like you, I moved home from Sussex to Somerset in Yr 2000 with my partner. I had to redefine my life in a new place. It was really difficult and I felt very isolated moving from a busy city to a small village. I had to look at who I was (scary!) and make new friends, find work etc. I went into a bit of a trough. However, with the help of counselling and some antidepressants, I pulled myself through. I am now much happier with a handful of supportive friends and a great job!
It is good that you have joined CAB. This will give you a focus and you will meet new people and will give you a sense of worth. Of course we are going to feel annoyed at times when we feel the diabetes has the better of us. I used to get annoyed with hypos. But now I think..Yippee! I can have some chocolate.
And remember to be kind to yourself.
