Yes,after reading about other people injecting the wrong insulin and thinking it would never happen to me,I actually did it .

I injected fast acting instead of levemir but realised after putting in ten units.

This was 2 hours after eating breakfast ,I quickly had lucozade,choc bar and a pkt of wine gums and feel a bit ill now.

Don't think I will have any lunch now.

I usually keep my pens in separate rooms but with two noisey kids this morning I must have gotten muddled.
 
Oh no! I hope you are OK and don't suffer too many ups and downs. Did you inject the levemir too, or are you waiting till the fast acting has worked through then injecting less levemir?
 
I put the levemir in soon after but put in 10 units instead of 14 so will just keep an eye on thing for a while and hope for the best.I think I ate too much as blood sugar is 13mmol but rather it was that than too low.Silly me...
 
This is where knowing your insulin to carb ratio would help. As it would give you an indication of how much you needed to eat to balance the injection.

Hope you feel better soon - but keep an eye on those blood sugars for a while.
 
I hoe you are OK and didn't have too many uncomfortable effects...
