Hello lovelies ,

well I finally did it I finally got my first vaccine shot today 🙂 , I didn’t even feel it and I got to draw on the whiteboard walls while the chick started humming , I love the fact that she can distract you while she does it . I didn’t realise it was over until she put the bandaid on my arm .
I also got my new glasses today , which I’m happy about 🙂 , hopefully this will sort out my left eye situation 🙂 .

I’m finally relaxed with dealing with everything , not as worried or stressed out and just taking everything into my stride , I only have 3 weeks left with my nurse until I decide what to do next but I think I’ll make it monthly appointments just to catch up and see how I am doing , she asked me an interesting question that I’m kinda confused about slightly, what does she mean when she asked , what would make you stumble ? Eg (fall off the bandwagon (track) I’m guessing falling off the things you are doing to succeed on controlling your blood sugars ???

So happy for you @Jacinta (Australian)!

When I received my first vaccine, it didn't hurt at all. The next day though I was completely exhausted. Let us know how you are feeling after your vaccine.

Hi Jacinta, congrats on your wins this week!

Re falling off the bandwagon, I think its just about contingency planning for things that will naturally come. That might be getting off track in general but also what will you do when something really stressful comes up and you may feel like something sugary when you're numbers aren't great.

It's actually a really helpful thought process to go through as sometimes it can feel like an all or nothing situation but if you're prepared, you can make good choices even when the situation is tough.

Hello josh 🙂
I didn’t feel it when they put it in at all , I wasn’t tired or had a headache the only thing I have is a sore arm and today is day 2 of having it done from yesterday . I feel pretty good actually 🙂

Hey cherrell just asking what what should your fasting blood sugar glucose be at ?? I always forget to ask my nurse or doctor , because my fasting glucose has gone from 7.1 down to 5.4 and I’m not sure where it’s meant to be at .

In the 5s for fasting is perfect Jacinta. Well done for taking control and being less stressed!

Yep, great number to be at! Just thought I'd share this link as it has a really helpful chart at the bottom that shows what an ideal range is at various times of the day. Keep in mind that everyone is different so this is just an average guide but gives you an idea of where the numbers should be. https://www.diabetes.org.uk/guide-to-diabetes/managing-your-diabetes/testing
