Hi all.
I feel the need to bring this up now, I would have always kept it secret from this forum but due to Covid and infact the recipient to my kidney testing positive I need to know the crack!

(Backstory)
2 years ago I have my kidney to my brother and one month later we are in lockdown for the first time.

10 days after my first Covid jab I get symptoms of diabetes.

17 days after my first Covid jab I’m in hospital with a BG of 31.2 & ketones of 3.2

My questions are: will having Covid & one kidney and type 1 have any effect on me, and is this anything I can do to help myself

Nobody can tell I'm afraid, it's such an individual thing nobody can predict it, best thing you can do is keep your BG in range as much as possible

I guess try keep your blood sugars in target range as I believe high blood glucose levels can damage the kidneys over time. Take care.
