Congratulations, well done, and keep up the good work.

Congratulations :hello::party::hello: what a great result! Onwards and downwards as they say on this forum.

My only concern now is coming off meds! Currently on 3 metformin and 1 glicozide a day.

Worried that if the nurse says to drop the glicozide which I think she will do then my BG could rise a bit.

Anyone had any experience?

Many congratulations! I am absolutely delighted for you as your hard work has obviously paid off.

As regards stopping or reducing the medication, you won't know unless you try and you can always restart it again if your levels do rise. I am pretty confident with such a massive drop in such a short space of time that you won't see much if any difference from reducing the meds. The chances are that your actual HbA1c would be lower still if it had been 3 months instead of just 2 so, I think you probably have more wriggle room to stay in the normal range than that 41 suggests.

They may stop the medication slowly - lower doses, more tests, and see what happens.

You can always start it again

I was allowed to drop my Metformin but with the caveat that if my levels started to creep back up I should make another appointment. They edged up slightly but then dropped back again, where they have thankfully stayed.

Well done @guybrush
What an achievement. Keep up the hard work
