I have Type 2
I know I supposed to eat healthy and not over load on sugar but
I just had lots and lots of chocolate and ice-cream I could not stop myself and now I am worried what will happen to me.
I feel quite sick! and I have a headache which may or may not be linked?

Are you able to test your levels at home Gema? Are you on medication?

We all eat too much of what we shouldn't from time to time and you've probably made yourself feel sick and tired if your body isn't used to all the chocolate and ice cream now.
When I overdo things I tend to go for a walk and drink plenty of cold water but I'm not on medication. There's no reason anything will happen to you unless you've pushed your levels through the roof but they'll come down. Don't panic! 😱

Aw thank you so much for replying my level was 11.4 so it is high. I am on metaphormin and saxagliptin (Onglyza)
I will do wjhat you say. I don't know if I should take some more meds as I don't really know how they work.

It's too high but not desperately so Gema. I don't take metformin or saxagliptin so can't really comment but I'd be surprised if you needed to up your dose as a result of this blip.
It's just a case of putting it down to experience because you know you can't tolerate those amounts.
In your situation I'd test in another hour but I honestly wouldn't panic. I've hit those levels once or twice but just chalked it up to being an idiot! :D

11.4 is high, but not to high, don't take any more meds as you might already be on the max of the meds anyway. A walk as Amigo says will bring the levels down and by tomorrow morning levels should back to normal or near your normal readings. Worth checking your levels a hour or so to see if they have peaked or on the way back down.

Just checked mine and ooops it's at 17.0 gave into a craving for an ice cream earlier. :(

Hi Gema... don't panic and don't take any more tablets.

These levels will come down (as long as you don't chomp any more chocolate or ice cream). Drink some cold water like Amigo suggested ... maybe a glass every hour and, if you can, get some exercise (even tho you probably just want to sleep).
Your numbers will be better tomorrow.

Thank you all for your kind answers and advice. You are all amazing, I really appreciate that you took the time to help me.
