Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
hi everyone, am new to all this but a year ago I was diagnosed with type 2 and have been put on metformin and told to eat healthy etc. And it still dosnt seem real I still deny that I have it but am just looking for a friend, someone who has the same condition as me I don't really family or friend to talk about it. Thanks.

Hi Lauren, welcome to the group like Martin said there are many on here who will happily talk and help you, I was diagnosed T2 in Sept 2016 and in that short time I have learnt allot about my condition and food nutrition and how it affects my BS. I will happily answer any questions if I can or just chat about our condition

How are you doing with it all, diabetes is a big shock usually and it can take some adjusting to,

Hi Lauren,

This is my first post on here and l just found out today I have Type 2 amongst other things :( Haven't seen a nurse yet to discuss (appointment on 26th April) but the Dr called me to confirm.
Hope you find plenty of people on here to help. everyone seems really lovely when I have been scanning through their posts xx

Welcome to you both im quiet new too, my biggest problem is finger pricking, always getting error 4 not enough, but i just cant get any blood! i wash my hands in hot water , give them a shake think i have had success twice this week🙄
 
warm your hands on a hot water bottle, works for me anyway
