Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I’ve been diabetic 15 years, this year, type 2.
Had carpal tunnel operation on both hands around 10 years ago, was winter so couldn’t move around a lot (hands killing me with pain) had both hands done over period of 2 years.
So put weight on, Diabetic nurse put me on insulin
The operations on my hands left me with Nerve damage in both hands, pain 24/7
So Gabapentin & Amitriptyline full does
So really fed up with loads of tables/ injections I decided try and get off insulin So I went on the 8 week blood sugar diet by Richard Mosley
It worked
So I’m just on tablets now instead of both, lost the weight, bye bye insulin
I do struggle from Time to time

Welcome to the forum @Andrea69

So pleased the weight loss was so effective for you. It’s tricky to maintain lost weight though isn’t it? But really worth the ongoing effort when it has such a positive effect.

Feel free to share your worries and struggles. Folks here instinctively ‘get it’, and know how difficult it can be to live with a long term condition like diabetes.

Thank you, was very hard at first. Have to overcome the sugar rush.
But it’s so easy to mess up, just wanting to be off insulin helped.
I found that Alpro No sugar plain yogurt & alpro no sugar soya milk is the best thing I’ve ever had in my life no seriously I started having these about 3 weeks ago and my blood glucose, has dropped a lot raspberries, blueberries, kiwi have got me on the go
