How many minutes do people leave after you've had a hypo to recheck what your bg level is?

When do you start your timing from ie when you've finished eating / drinking your hypo treatment or while you're still eating / drinking?

The rule of thumb is 15 minutes to check before doing anything else, I've always thought that would be from the time you popped the remedy into your mouth.
Me too

10-15mins from when you tested and started treating the hypo, but it’s not an exact science eg once I tested in the 3s, treated but felt awful, so tested again within 5 mins and found I was dropping fast, so I had some Coke and treated my hypo not as a moderate one in the 3s but a more serious one (I can’t remember exactly how low I was but it was in the low 2s or just under 2).

Thank you @Pattidevans

My meter vibrates to remind me to recheck after 10 minutes

Yes and the Accu-Chek meters forming the handsets of the Combo pumps remind us 10 minutes after the low BG was recorded - FAR too soon thereafter but they have the choice of 'snoozing' the reminder and 'dismissing' it - so we tell it to snooze and wait a bit longer - reminds again every 10 minutes until our BG is up far enough to dismiss it!

I go by the 15s too. 15g of fast acting carbs, wait 15 minutes before rechecking and (if still low) retreating.

I have never heard this rule of 15s before, but I have never been told to test after hypos at all! So I have only been testing if my symptoms had not gone away.
