I am having a lot of Hypos :((3 and 3.5) whilst on Metformin x2 500mg, I have tried stopping as GP said and BS stays high for too long any ideas would be greatly received thnx😱

Hi Cheeffy, welcome to the forum 🙂 How long have you been diagnosed? Metformin doesn't usually cause hypos - are you on any other medication? Whilst low, a 3 or 3.5 is something that a non-diabetic person could get frequently and not be in any danger, it is only if you are on a medication that could cause your blood sugar to drop even lower that it is considered an unsafe level. When do you experience the lows? Is it when you haven't eaten for some time or have been very active?
