I set my alarm higher than hypo so I am less likely to be distracted/unfocused when I need to treat ... and it stops me reaching hypo levels.

Unless I am distracted by something unrelated to diabetes and convince myself that because I am not hypo at the moment I can carry on with whatever else I was doing.
My excuse is "I am human"
Human logic is a funny thing sometimes!

I was reminded of another symptom as I trudged up the hill last night with beers for the game.
I often experience a Reyanud's episode. This is a pest because it is not possible to get any blood out of white bloodless fingers. Unfortunately, this has never been a justification for a CGM. The Libre definitely helps now but when I first started asking and highlighting the problem, Libre were not available.

I lose my patience with whatever I’m doing, if watching tv I also feel bored, which I never feel bored when ok x

Helli,

That is precisely what I have done. Mine is set at 5.5 on the freestyle libre. This pretty much removes the chances of going hypo unless as you say, not paying attention or busy doing something.

My hypo symptoms depend on how low, but these days hypo's are even fewer with the libres help.

At 5.5 I get sparkly vision, quite subtle but unmissible.
If really low, usual shakiness, sweating, feel awful etc

Nobody has mentioned a symptom I witnessed in a colleague which started a slight twitching and progressed to uncontrolled jerking movements. If you noticed soon enough and said to them to have the hypo treatment it passed of quite quickly otherwise it could take a long time.
