I've had 5 hypos in the past 48 hours, ranging in seriousness.

I've knocked back both my fast & slow acting insulins.

Can anyone suggest anything to assist?

I'm kinda at a loss now & extremely exhausted

How much background have you chopped off.....?

I was on 54 then dropped to 48 & now on 40.

Work are sending me home at 3 coz I'm not functioning.

Hi Laura 🙂

Sorry to hear you're having such a rough time.

It might take a while for Lantus to catch up with the new dose. 20% is quite a drop, but when I was on Lantus I found that it was quite twitchy, and the dose being only *slightly* too high or low made a massive difference to number of hypos (or hypers!)

Tricky while you are having so many hypos as you can't really run any proper basal tests, but once you've managed to get a bit of space between them it would be well worth having a read of this. Trying to get Lantus to behave is not always easy, but once you've found the best (or least worst!) timing of injections/dose(s) it should really help your meal doses to work well.

This write-up on basals is pretty useful: http://www.diabetes-support.org.uk/info/?page_id=120
