I have had 2 hypoglycaemic episodes which sent me into documented atrial fibrillation. The AF occurred after the hypoglycaemic episode were self limited. They both reverted to normal sinus rhythm within several hours without treatment. I have had no other episodes of AF. I can' t find much in the literature on this only three cases. Has anyone had this. I suspect this may have happened more than 2 times but don't routinely take my pulse after hypos.

Welcome to the forum, John Astbury. I don't remember anyone mentioning atrial fibrillation associated with hypoglycaemia, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been discussed.
No doubt anyone with personal experience will reply soon.

No - the opposite - palpitations before I was diagnosed, with the hyper glycaemia. Stopped instantly as soon as I got insulin.

So I can only assume it can be an equal but opposite effect. After all - hardly anyone these days reports palpitations pre-diagnosis, yet it was an automatic question every HCP asked back then.
