Relationship to Diabetes

Hello everyone. I get up at 10am every morning I am fine. But when I do get up early for like 8am I go into hypo for no apparent reason. My DSN suggested I do 2 unit. But today first time 2 hypos one at 8am and this evening 4pm it is just blip? One day fine another day get hypo?

I’m confused why your DSN is suggesting an insulin dose for a hypo - I think I must be misunderstanding.

Do you adjust your doses through the year? I suspect your insulin needs have just changed a bit.

Do you use pens or a pump? And which insulins do you currently use?

Having some hypos when you have tight control of your diabetes is normal it depends on the severity and the frequency of them as to what changes you need to do beyond checking your carb count and taking exercise into account. Is there anything different you do the night before if you’re getting up early. Do you do more exercise in the 24 hours or so before the morning hypos. Lots of things can factor in. The best person to help is your DSN if you email them your meter or monitor readings so they can see the patterns but if you give us more info we can maybe help give you some ideas.
