A MAN, who went on to take his own life, attempted to kill his wife by injecting her with insulin, an inquest heard.
Diane Lindstrom was given the drug by her husband Tony ? who had tried to take out an insurance policy on her life ? at their Church Crookham home.
Mrs Lindstrom was in a coma for three years until her family and doctors decided to withdraw her life-sustaining treatment.
When her husband had failed to administer enough insulin to kill her immediately, he had panicked and taken his own life by injecting himself with the substance, a coroner sitting at Alton Magistrates? Court was told on April 17.
