Finally, following all the delate on the forum as to who takes full sharps bins - I think I have found the best answer.

One of 3 BOOTS chemist stores in my town (East Kilbride) dispenses a 0.45L sharps bin (a bit small) AND just take it back to them when full. they then dispose of it and give you back a replacement - no charge!!!!!

Finally a good result - no more faffing around

Hurrah! I wonder if it's a national Boots policy, but that not all pharmacies know about it?

I'll ask the next time I am in Alan and let you know

Thanks Hazel! It's not a problem for me personally, as the council give me a 5litre bin (!!!) which takes about a year to fill, but it would be great if we could point people at Boots if they have a problem. 🙂

I get mine from the council too!

Ill try boots then too, its a nightmare trying to return them anywhere.

No chemists near me will take them back or my GP i have to go to a cilinic i have never even had an appointment at and its really out of the way.

Thanks for the tip off 🙂
