Nuts is what I have for a nibble. Sounds like you need something more subatntial but carb free like eggs and bacon (no bread though)

There are many carb guides on the net and if your levels are a problem anything carb free will do for now obviously long term fats and calories e.t.c need to be considered. The quicker you get on a basal/bolus regime the sooner you will be able to eat more normally.


Just seem northerners post I forgot about cheese (I am eating cheese and crackers lol)

16 cant wait to get on a proper insulin to suit me .. got to wait till friday though dont know how i will cope for another week
 
16 isn't good if you can't make an adjustment. Anybody else here on the same insulin and dose?
 
i know i think i will just have to leave the snack for tonight .. i havent spoken or seen any1 with the same dose or anything .. thanks for your comments though

You will be ok with something carb free, a glass of water may take away some of the hunger too.

Good thinking. You'll be dehydrating too so it'll help in that way.

When you're on MDI, you'll be able to correct (with caution) if you go high. As things stand, it pretty much a waiting game and hope it doesn't get too high.

I've taken to eating cheese and cucumber as a snack 🙂 Very yummy! Remides me of sandwhiches as a kid!
Often also get babybel lights as I hate snacking on 'fattening' cheese, trust me I eat a lot of eat!
