Hello
It's day 3 and I'm hungry. I don't know what I can have to stave off the hunger pangs. I can't sleep and I need something to settle me down. Is warm milk ok? An oatcake? Is it normal to feel hungry when so new to it all? I hate feeling hungry.
Thank you
Jane

I wouldn't recommend the milk for its lactose content, lactose being a form of sugar. An oatcake with a bit of cheese on, or some carrot sticks (I normally have them with humous, or cauli dip). A yoghurt if you have any handy, or a handful of nuts. Or you could wrap a slice of ham around a bit of cheese, that's a nice, tasty option.

Hi I like a slice of ham with a bit of cheese or a poached egg or even a tin of tuna mashed with a small bit of mayo it's tasty.

Couple of cream crackers with a thin slice of cheese on maybe

Hunger pangs can be staved off by occupying yourself doing something or dilute lemon juice (e.g. plj).

Otherwise any non fast acting carb will be fine e.g. carrot sticks. Try and avoid wheat products, too many nuts etc.

Beer and a bag of crisps:D:D:D

I keep fruit in, a wee apple or satsuma, or drink a pint of water, that sometimes helps

I like the idea of the beer and crisps!!!

However, have stocked up on protein for snacks. How does it work with crackers or oatcakes when counting carbs?
