I am going to be put on the above in the next few weeks. Can anyone tell if this will be better than Gliclazide and do I still have to be very restrictive in my diet?
This is a type of mixed insulin which contains both fast and slow insulins so you will need to make sure you eat set amounts of carbohydrates at set times each day. The person who starts you on this should go through this with you.
If you drive you will need to notify the DVLA and apply for a medically restricted license and update your car insurance to reflect the restricted licence too.
