Welcome Hugh ! I have been T1 for nearly 50yrs & never thought of that. I don't know sorry 🙂

Do you mean that you are younger than retirement age that would entitle you to free bus pass, so you are considering applying on disability grounds? Do you have any mobility problems? Eg have you lost your driving licence due to loss of hypoglycaemia awareness or neuropathy in feet? Do you get mobility component of Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payment? Most people who were on DLA have been invited to apply for PIP by now. The decision about bus passes is made by local councils, so you'd have to ask yours.
