Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi, I am new to the forum although not to Type 2. I was diagnosed late 2013 & have managed to keep my blood sugars low until now so thought this would be the perfect place to regain as much control as I can and reduce my hba1c from 84 (eek) to sensible levels. Any advice would be welcome, I guess cutting the carbohydrate intake would be the best place to start.

Hello @Munchkin Yes - low carb eating is usually effective for someone who is an ordinary type two and not anything more exciting.
I started off with Hba1c at 91 and cut out all the high carb foods I'd been encouraged to eat as so healthy - but that wasn't working, it never did. It means I get the roast meat or the fish. and the tasty veges, don't need to eat the bread potatoes and other foods I find boring.

Plus there is the Learning Zone (link in the main menu) which has a host of modules you can work through in your own time.

Best of luck in working on reducing your HbA1c. Keep us posted with how things are going. 🙂
