For the past couple of days I've been feeling nauseous and off my food, possibly down to the fact I've been unable to take my Domperidone tablets due to my upcoming gastroscopy next week, so not been eating much. I've also been having hypos and not noticing them until the low 2's 😱. Today my BG was 14.9 mid-morn despite not having much breakfast (26g Special K) so we went for a walk, after an hour I felt unwell so tested my BG - 2.2! This caught me off guard but I had a couple of glucotabs and some shortbread which thankfully raised my BG to 5.2 enabling us to turn back. This evening I only had a small bowl of cereal for tea but have just felt low so tested my blood and am now a 2.0 again. It is so annoying, especially when I don't particularly want to eat.

Very sorry to hear this newbs :( I wonder what it could be? It's been very warm here - has it where you are? Perhaps your basal needs lowering if the drops can't be accounted for by mealtime insulin doses?

Hope things are more settled overnight 🙂

Sounds rotten Newbs - are things fairly stable if you skip meals entirely? Maybe you need a different ratio for meals that are significantly smaller than normal?

It has been warm here, but no more than the past several weeks. Things weren't stable overnight, went to bed on 8.1 and woke at 12.30am to 2.7 😡. 6.0 this morning.

Things are quite stable if I don't eat, with a small rise in BG.

What time did you eat eve meal?

Could some late-running bolus have caused that drop towards midnight? or is it more likely to be your basal from 10pm onwards do you think?

Hi Newbs I'm sorry to hear this but not sure what to suggest. I hope that it sorts out soon for you x

I injected my NR at 5.30pm so can't see that it can have been that. I injected the Lantus at around 10.45pm.
