However, this will also be why the fidelity of the resulting data is so limited. The Huawei Watch 4 won’t tell you your blood sugar readings, just whether you are at high or low risk of heading into a hyperglycaemic state.

Sounds like a complete waste of money and as good as useless.
 
The press release is a masterpiece of the copy writers art, it says one thing in such a way that it encourages the reader to assume something else. So, it does not mention blood glucose measurement. It says it has a high blood glucose alert function without saying how high, how it is determined and whether you can rely on it.

On the plus side, it will be cheap and probably tell the time quite accurately.
 
Apparently Apple have been working on this for a while and reckon they will have it on their watch in two to three years. I would think Apple would not release anything that doesn't work properly
 
I have been playing this game long enough to remember the ‘gluco watch’ (I think that one was in a film wasn’t it? Panic Room?).

Perhaps the writers of the ‘worlds first’ copy needed to dig a little deeper?
