STUDENTS were urged to join the fight to beat diabetes by taking part in a charity fun run in Evesham.
Jo Oldfield, fundraising Manager for Diabetes UK in the Midlands, gave a presentation to sport students at South Worcestershire College in Evesham and urged them to take part.
Lee Perry, programme leader for sports at the college said: ?It is important for our students to know as much as possible about diabetes, which is a condition that affects more than 2.9 million people in the UK. By understanding how leading a healthy lifestyle can reduce the chances of developing type 2 diabetes and better control type 1 diabetes, our future sports leaders can explain why exercise and good diet is essential.?
