I am terrible at resisting snacks. When I do my own shopping, I simply don't buy them, so there is no temptation in my cupboards. Recently I have had to move back in with my family and there is always junk food around. I find myself nibbling all the time! Any advice?

If you are diagnosed with Diabetes, testing before and 2 hours after food should give you a fair deterrent if you find your BG is sky rocketing and your waistband is expanding, your blood pressure rises and so too your cholesterol and I guess the other deterrent would be the thought of having to increase your medication.

Of course healthy snacking may be absolutely fine 🙂

I buy a bag of carrots and a bag of celery sticks and go for them,so it ends up as a healthy snack with fibre,I know it's hard though,I have also bought some chocolate from Aldi that is called Moser Roth 85% cocoa chocolate, the packet comes with 5 bars and each contains 4.6g carbs per 25g bar so I have one of those as a treat now and again

Thank you for your advice! I will give that a try

I forgot to add,I also buy bags of walnuts £2.and pecans £3 from Lidl, they are low carb but heavy in calories so don't eat too many, they contain healthy fats though so are good, you have to be firm with yourself though and you will see the benefits,I feel better in myself knowing that I am following the good path and being sensible about food, that with exercise and I feel that I have built a bit of momentum and it helps me push through with a positive mindset.
That's the way I view things anyway.

Another couple of things I often have in the fridge are hard boiled eggs and babybel cheese
