Have just come back from appointment at g.p. practice after sending several econsults to access compression hosiery as recommended by a consultant I saw. Nurse I saw did not know much about them, referring me to pharmacist to be measured. Pharmacist stating he needs a prescription from g.p. first and then will measure. Went back to g.p. to advise reception of this, who advised that they can't prescribe until they know the measurements. Which way round is it. I have a friend who wears this hosiery and she gets a prescription o.k. from g.p. practice. Anyone know much about this as I am going back and forth between g.p. and chemist at moment and getting nowhere. Gladys
