Hi, on the packet it says 10.3g carbs per 100g. The whole packet (approx 11 sausages) is 180g. So my portion is about 12g carbs not 60g. Where did you read 10g carbs per sausage?

OK I will have to ask the nurse, because now I am totally confused about what reading I should be aiming for! I assumed 6. The nurse practitioner said to aim for 4 to 7. Which would imply that my meter is using the % measurements where 6 is 'normal.' Like I say, my husband had a reading of 7.8.
I think that you are confusing the Hba1c with the readings from a blood glucose testing meter - they are not the same.
The meter uses mmol/l units - and 4 to 7 would be normal two hours after starting to eat a meal.
