Can I ask you guys how much exercise you do per week and the type?

As some of you know I'm learning to swim (still 🙄) and have done some Tai Chi which I'm resuming in July and do plenty of walking. However, as I've lost a lot of weight I want to do an exercise class but nothing that contributes towards weight loss...any idea's.

I am preparing (very slowly) towards my fun run at the end of August but feel I'm not being active enough.

Thanx guys xx🙂

For the last few years I've been going to the gym pretty regularly (about 3x a week for around an hour a time). I also try to get a decent amount of walking in each week, but that will vary. For many years I did next to nothing, and it does seem to help my levels to try to be a bit more active. I do far less when the kids are off school though, as the house sort of has a different rhythm during the holidays.

Good luck with your fun run 🙂

I try to get out at lunchtimes for a 30 minute walk (I only have 45 mins for lunch) on at least 3 out of the 5 days - depending on weather.

On the weekends I try to go for between 45 mins to an hours cycle ride on at least one of the days - again dependent on weather.

Other then that my only exercise is playing with an active 3 year old most days, either after I get home from work or generally taking him out on weekends to give his mum some peace!

My RunKeeper says I did 227 km over the first 4 months of the year cycling and walking. But that's only when I had my GPS turned on!

Well you did ask!

Monday - 30 mins gym / 90 mins tennis training
Tuesday - 90 mins advanced tennis training
Wednesday - Rest
Thursday - Run 20 -30 mins /120 mins tennis
Friday - Run 20-30 mins/60 mins tennis lesson
Saturday - tennis match or run or rest if Match Sunday
Sunday - Rest or tennis match.

Have you thought about doing a body pump class - that is exercise using weights - bar bells etc - very good for toning up and you choose the weight to suit your ability!

Good luck with it.🙂

I usually run 3 times a week 5 k each run. Plus cycle once a week 32 k.

This is all on hold at mo until I've had my operation!

I go to the gym 3 x per week for 30 - 40 mins per session and usually go out with my girls at the weekend for a long walk/chase them around the park/wii if it is wet. I have only recently (past couple of months) started going to the gym and I haven't lost weight but have noticed a difference in bodyshape and fitness.

I don't have a set routine but go for a run or to the gym about 4 times a week.

Will be focusing more on running for the next 3 months I'm doing the Great North Run this year - I've never run as far as 13.1 miles yet!
