I have a pen Toujeo Double injection insulin glargine 1 step two units 3ml.

Can someone tell me how many days this pen will last taking 60 units a day with a 2 unit prime every day.It has got 900units but don’t if there the amount I should count.

Thanks for your help in this matter my maths is very bad.

900 units in the pen, 62 units a day, is 14 days

I was wondering how your pen could possibly hold that much! But it looks like your Toujeo is 300u/ml (so more concentrated than some other insulins) 🙂

I was wondering that too. I knew there was U500 and U200, but apparently there's what one might call U300 (though I'm not sure it is called that: seems like Toujeo is a special case).

You would call it u300, just like you’d call the insulin with 40u per ml u40. It’s just an indication of how many units per ml.

They do refer to it as u-300 on their website also
