Hi everyone,
In my attempt to lose wright and get fit I am thinking of really cutting down on carbs, is there a good amount to start losing weight on?
Thanks

I think that carb reduction will certainly help. Additionally it will probably be wise to keep an eye on overall calorie intake.

I think both the mix of macro-nutrients and the overall calorie intake are important in meeting your weight loss goals.

I think it is very individual at how many carbs a day people can manage on.

Ooer macro nutrients .... What are they

I would document what you currently eat with something like My Fitness Pal first to get some kind of representation of what you are eating and work it from there. Take things out gradually and work towards a goal / target. It's pretty tedious at first but you sharp get a routine going.

Ok your looking To lose weight. Good on you.
Get a set of food scales and join myfitnespal or similar.
Weigh everything that you normally eat. Put it on mfp for the full week. The amounts may shock you it did me.
Then start swapping one food item at a time. Such as extra veg instead of mash spuds. Cauliflower rice instead of white/brown rice. Baby steps. Then reduce your portions. Again baby steps.
As for exercise try walking even if it's out your front door to the street it's a start. Or try Leslie sansone dvds she's really good by the way.
