Did people have to wait to find out if funding for a pump has been approved?

My consultant confirmed on 4th July to apply for the funding for me. and Nurse confirmed on 15th that the application had actually been sent. :D

I'm just getting impatient now!!

Hi Akasha,

I have no idea - the funding for mine was already available. But I'm sure shiv will respond next time she signs in.

Just wanted to say I hope you get it soon, really got my fingers crossed for you!

Ring your PCT, ask to speak to whoever deals with pump funding, and ask them 🙂 they should be able to confirm if they have received it or not.

If they say yes they have received it, ask them to confirm in writing to your DSN/consultant ASAP as your long term health is suffering the longer you are without a pump. Make sure they CC you in to their response.

If they haven't, ring your consultant's secretary and ask them to send it again and make sure they CC you a copy! They should do that anyway.
