How long for BS levels to settle down after a cold?

How long does it take for BS levels to settle down after you've been ill? i've had a cold for a few days now and they are still high, for example i had a salad with a few carbs for my main meal tonight and my BS reading was 9.4 two hour post meal whereas they are usually 7.8 or lower with that kind of meal and i had my 30 min walk tonight too so am anxious for them to 'settle' down and feel disappointed that they haven't yet :(
 
It usually takes a couple of days, two or three at least after the cold has gone for my levels to settle properly, but we are all different, so it will vary from person to person.
