To respond to complaints?

It looks like its 24 hours online but I can't find an official line from NHS choices.

I complained over 7 weeks ago (after my previous complaints have gone walkies), I've chased up a response only to get fobbed off.

Short of going up to my surgery & sitting there until someone comes & talks to me about matters that border on clinical negligence or going to the local newspaper when I get refused insulin, I'm stuck as NHS England aren't taking the matter further

Help!

As LeeLee suggests it's time for PALS, the CCG or possibly even your MP.

One thing you might consider is writing another letter and sending it recorded delivery to the Practice Manager while also sending copies to the CCG and your MP. Enclose copies of the original(s) as well.

I've tried PALS before & I left a message & no one came back to me.

I might try the recorded delivery route & send copies to everyone else

Hi Laura, once again I'm working in the public sector, co-incidentally dealing directly with MP enquiries on behalf of constituents. MPs can't dictate policy or direct any actions that are against policy, but they do make the department look carefully at each case and make sure that policies are adhered to. In that way they can be a useful tool for ensuring that appropriate action is taken. Don't give up!

P.S. Our deadline for responses to MP and Councillor enquiries is 10 working days. In your letter to the MP, make sure that you ask the MP to request that copies of responses are sent to you, otherwise you will have to wait for the MP to deal with the correspondence before you find out what's happening.
