Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I would like to introduce myself as 69 years old male who was a visiting lecturer in Complementary Therapies at various eductional institutions in London. I have been suffering from Diabetes type 2 for last 20 years. Diabetes had affected the functioning of my heart and kidneys.

Since last 10 years (i.e. from 1999) I have been practising Yoga. Gradually my sugar level have gone down from over 9 to just below 6 (i.e. officialy I am "under" the borderline diabetic.) I am now so convienced about the benefits that I got qualifed in Yoga about 6 years ago and have started conducting my own classes and workshops in Yoga since I retired from teaching Complementaty Therapies a few years ago.

One important element of Yoga is Pranayama (Breathing Techniques) and pratising these techniques on a regular basis can bring about huge benefits in controlling reducing sugar levels. To my experience Pranayama rejuvenates the body at a cellular level (within Mitochondria & DNA), detoxifies the body and increases the level of oxygen within the body. If you need further information please email me to *********

Hello Dipak.

Many thanks for posting here. I have just cleared the email address that you provided because this is a public forum and it isn't safe to provide such information.

It would be better to provide this information via private message in the event that anyone contacts you via that mechanism.

didnt you post about this late the other night

Hi Dipak,

I am not sure from your post whether you are intending to contribute to discussion or merely wish to sell your 'cure'. Are you saying that diabetes has had such a bad effect on your health in the past and now through Yoga you are OK. Did you used to take any drugs and are you now drug free?

Hi Dipak, welcome to the forum 🙂 I think there are all sorts of exercise and meditation regimes that can help us stay healthy. I think that much of that improvement must be attributed to the dedication required to maintain such a regime, whatever particular programme you follow. We have members who find Tai Chi helpful, and I know from personal experience that regular distance running helps me to maintain excellent levels.
