Hello, just had my first morning back at uni.

Last Nights Levels Before Bed : 5.6
Before Breakfast : 4.9 ..... is this too low? I get DP any later so usually it's up.
~2hrs : 9.5
When I got back : 5.7

So I suppose that those before and back numbers are in range but should I worry about the spike at around 2hrs? (probably a little later than 2). Usually that morning lecture goes on til 1pm, i'd probably have an apple in between. I only had 2 units with breakfast this morning, i'm worried about going too low in lectures, also with last nights dins I had 2u!

Have also got appt tomorrow with DSN 🙂

I would say 4.9 at any time is fine, its on the lower side of the recommended targets, but fine none the less..........

the spike at the 2 hour mark is OK, normal even, it all depends on what you ate and whether your dose was right and timed correctly.......but single figures is always positive, well done...........😉

Agree with NRBoi, except, to me 4.9 is bang on for a fasting level.

The 9.5 wants to be ideally about 7.x or 8.x but on MDI thats certainly not something I would tinker with if it's working.

Well done 🙂

Rob

Thanks for your replies, I had 1/2 a breakfast muffin, so not high carbs around 15g? Thing is I thought if I was at 7 or below at 2hrs then clearly its not going to last me, yet when I got home I was 5.7 anyway so can't really win. I'm thinking perhaps beans would be a better alternative since they're slow release!

Can you take a small bottle of Lucozade with you in case you feel low in lectures. Your lecturers shouldn't have a problem with you having it, even if drinks aren't allowed in the lecture room, because the Lucozade would be a simple reasonable adjustment. Having said that I always keep my sugars higher when giving a lecture - can't think of anything worse than going hypo when trying to talk to more than 100 students🙄
