Note: This survey keeps running (this post last updated 3/9/2022, we need more participants)

How do you experience the Libre sensor? People with diabetes will experience it differently. It all depends on your personal situation.

If you have 10 to 15 minutes, you can help diabetes educators with this online survey by the University of Essex (created by a researcher and Type 1 patient). It will help us to better understand what is good and not so good about wearing the sensor.

You can do the survey any time before the end of November 2022, please. We keep it running because we really need more participants for this study (updated early September).

There is even an opportunity for open answer questions to say what is good and what is (maybe) not so good.

It takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete. When you click the link, there is a welcome page with more information about the study.

Here is the link, you can do it on your phone, tablet, or regular computer:

I have completed the survey but notice it has no place (apart from a "anything else you want to add") to talk about adding to Libre such as using MiaoMiao or Bubble, unofficial apps, linking to a smart watch, etc.

Hello,
It is a good point, it might be nice to know how many people use that instead of the default software. That said, the main focus for now is to ask how people experience what Freestyle itself has on offer. If people want, they can add extra info in the last open question.

Once the data collection has been finished, I am happy to report the general pattern in the data. Hopefully lots of people will participate in the survey. And of course, hopefully the Libre 3 will be widely available on the NHS as well, because that will be a step further forward.

Please can you confirm that this study has received appropriate ethical approval from the university of Essex?

It does not say ethical approval has been granted. Further, there is no participant information or consent process. Please can supply reference number and the ethics committee details?

Thank you for this.

But there is still no participant information form, or proper consent. The information on your University webpage details what participants should expect: https://www.essex.ac.uk/staff/research-governance/ethical-approval-resources-for-applicants, and this does not appear to be being followed here.

If you click the link, you see all the information you need to participate, there is nothing more to that. There is no "form", so to speak, as this is an online questionnaire, and the form is on the welcome screen in the form of an online presentation. This is common practise. The information and consent request are all on the same page.
