How can I detect possible eye problems with Alzheimer's

Hi everone I am a Newbie.
My wife was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 16 years ago and has taken Metformin 500g until recently. Doctors request for 3 months before she can be tested. Her blood glucose increased slightly to around 8.0. But am assured this is O.K..
Today I noticed a swelling above the eye and wondered whether this could be signs of a possible problem. Has anyone experienced this?

If you're worried about your wife's eye. then best to take her to see GP for checking. We are a support network, and umable, not being medically qualified, to diagnose symptoms from a few words.
