Carly complaining her feet get too hot, she refused to wear shoes or slippers at home but now she started Nursery and still she take her shoes off and refused to wear socks! Do anyone experienced it and any advice please as I know she must wear shoes to protect her feet.

When it is dry, would sandals be of any help? Perhaps nursery could make some suggestions too.

I must say I can understand where Carly is comming from as my feet are often too hot. Indoors i wear flip flop type things and slip them off when my feet are too hot and when I am sitting at my desk I take my shoes off.

Hi Ruth, I get very hot feet too, wearing shoes can be very uncomfortable especially when the weather is warm. I personally don't worry about my feet, they are fine and if anything feels wrong I will check them out, but your daughter is very young so covering her feet might be more important. Like caroline said, can she wear sandles, or thin shoes - canvas ones might be more breathable? I know where your daughter is coming from though, my feet get so hot it can make me feel faint!

Thank you for your replies, I'm taking Carly to shoes shopping today in hope she will wear something like that it or maybe croc! She need to learn to wear them more ready for school full time next year!!

What does everyone else wear on their feet at home and nursery? If everyone else is barefoot at home, she's probably just copying.

Personally, I don't wear anything on my feet in our home and in family & friends' homes until it gets a lot colder. Obviously, this is only safe with normal feeling and no neuropathy.

I have been wearing crocs indoors and so has little feller. I think they are great and so easy to slip off and on.

Oh dear... No summer shoes in shops but I've ordered a pair of pink crocs 🙂 hope it'll help!
