Hospital consultants in Wales say they feel undervalued by their employers and the Welsh Government with morale at “rock bottom”.
The group of doctors have contacted the British Medical Association (BMA) to voice their concerns and claim the issue risks impacting on patient care.
The row comes amid an ongoing pay dispute which could see consultants in Wales earn 5% less than counterparts elsewhere in Britain.
They fear the poor retention and recruitment of doctors will lead to a gaping hole in provision.
