THE body of an unborn baby has been found dumped in a clinical waste bin at a Scots hospital.
The child, believed to have been in its mother?s womb for 15 to 20 weeks, was thrown away after a procedure
at Monklands Hospital in Airdrie.
Managers promised an investigation to find out how the horrific incident happened.
And a local councillor called yesterday for the member of staff responsible to be ?sacked on the spot?. Michael Coyle, who represents Airdrie South on North Lanarkshire Council, said: ?I can?t believe something like this could happen in a hospital.
?It?s really terrible ? unforgivable.
